“Trump says US has reached an agreement to take permanent control of Greenland’s security…”

That’s the headline of a report from The Independent dated 19 September 2026 (Trump says US has reached an agreement to take permanent control of Greenland’s security).

I wrote the following over a year ago:

There has been much speculation about what Trump might have to do to take control of Greenland. Blockades, buying it outright, getting permission from both Denmark AND Britain.

But the truth of the matter is much simpler.

All he needs to do is BEEF UP the American presence in Greenland, using much the same strategy Putin has used in Ukraine. Put not only American servicemen there, but their families as well. Establish research-related towns similar to Los Alamos. After all, Pituffin Space Base (formerly Thule AFB) naturally requires the presence of civilian personnel to carry out space-related research.

Greenland’s population is just shy of 57,000. It would take nothing for the military/space population to exceed the civilian population - assuming our presence there doesn’t already exceed that - and a 1950’s treaty allows the US to operate all across Greenland as long as there is a threat to the US. Since both Russia and China are working feverishly to establish their footholds in the Arctic and space for military purposes, there is an objective threat to the US.

Taking de facto control of Greenland would be easily accomplished - and I don’t put it past Trump to do it. He is a paranoid, malignant narcissist with antisocial tendencies and delusions of grandeur. A certifiable lunatic. And now he wants to build the Trumpian empire. He wants the history books, which HE will approve to be used in schools, to teach the children about our illustrious leader and the glorious empire he built single handedly.

People said I was crazy, that it would never happen, but with the creation of this agreement, Trump has just created the framework to make it happen. 

Why Greenland?

The article went on to deal with Pres, Trump’s ongoing obsession with annexing Canada, also addressing his determination to annex Greenland.

But why Greenland?

Some people said I was “out there” when I made the following observation a few days ago; I repost it here.  With the backdrop of this article, perhaps I’m not as far out there as some would like to believe.

Trump is still serious about annexing Canada; there is no reason to believe otherwise.  Annexing Greenland would be a logical first step - and I’m sure the Canadian government has already considered that. Annexing Greenland would mean that the United States has achieved a practical encirclement of Canada; if Trump so desired, the US would be in a position to blockade the country until it surrenders to him. Yes, Canada has been working to revive the Port of Churchill on Hudson’s Bay in an effort to circumvent the US, but that is a minor consideration in the broader scheme of things, a logistical challenge to make it really work, and easily shut down.

Make no mistake, Trump intends to control the western hemisphere. Firming up control of North America gives him the psychological advantage he needs to implement his expressed plans to push south into Central/South America. It would also create a land mass large enough to rival Russia - and that consideration alone is all the justification Trump’s ego needs to make it a reality. He is out to build his own empire.

This is how Trump sees himself - and how he wants the world to see him.

What’s next? And do we REALLY want to know?!

Calling His Bluff….

I posted the following on Yahoo; it was rejected immediately by Yahoo censors.  I appealed the rejection, it was reinstated.  It was no sooner reinstated when it was again rejected, with an advisory from Yahoo that no further appeals would be allowed.

So I now post it here:

“When questioned who from Greenland invited the delegation, the president replied, ‘A lot of people ... people from Greenland are asking us to go there.  We have many, many requests from many, many people, some officials too.’"

Ok, we call his bluff. There is a record of every call, email, snail mail, telegram, smoke signal and talking drum received by the White House. On behalf of Americans everywhere, we demand that he produce the records of all the communications he supposedly received from Greenlanders inviting/begging him to send ANY delegation to Greenland or expressing a desire to become part of the USA.

Forget the JFK files, produce the communications logs regarding Greenland.
