So before Kaylub Giamanco shot the school shooter, an unnamed teacher used what she had at her disposal to try to fight him off: a cell phone and her body.  It angers me that society continues to choose to leave the most vulnerable members of society defenseless, “secured” only by signs and policies that have no hope of keeping them safe or preventing attacks.  So I’m going to turn the usual question around: how many more children and teachers are we going to sacrifice as martyrs to the “gun free” cult before we take substantial steps to provide for their safety?  Evil individuals aren’t going away.  They have been around since forever.  Thomas Paine summed it up the best back in the 1700s:

“Whoever considers the unprincipled enemy we have to cope with, will not hesitate to declare that nothing but arms or miracles can reduce them to reason and moderation. They have lost sight of the limits of humanity. So in the wake of the Oregon school shooting some legislators are once again calling for even more gun control.  All the laws we have had in place for decades have stopped nothing; obviously according to them, we just don’t have the right mix of laws in place.  What always gets me are the number of people who say this who will argue in a hot second that the war on drugs has stopped nothing, that, like prohibition, laws prevent nothing.  Well, that is as true of so called “gun control” as it was for alcohol and drugs.

This reality was recognized hundreds of years ago by Cesare Bonesana in his treatise, Of Crimes and Punishments, in the chapter titled, Of false Ideas of Utility:

“A principal source of errors and injustice are false ideas of utility. For example: that legislator has false ideas of utility who considers particular more than general conveniencies, who had rather command the sentiments of mankind than excite them, and dares say to reason, `Be thou a slave'; who would sacrifice a thousand real advantages to the fear of an imaginary or trifling inconvenience; who would deprive men of the use of fire for fear of their being burnt, and of water for fear of their being drowned; and who knows of no means of preventing evil but by destroying it.

“The laws of this nature are those which forbid to wear arms, disarming those only who are not disposed to commit the crime which the laws mean to prevent. Tilting at windmills again.

Watching reels on FB and Instagram has become increasingly frustrating, with reels being interrupted every 15-30 seconds with unsolicited ads, and the relentless appearance of ads on our feeds has become similarly annoying. Many days I spend more time scrolling past ads than seeing real content; clicking on them to shut them down is interpreted by the algorithms as interaction, leading to even more of the undesired content.

The military didn’t request or beg for this to be a “military complex”. Trump just figures that as long as he calls something a “military complex”, no one will dare to tell him no, he can’t build it. This latest idea is as deluded as they come. There is no way his arch has enough capacity to house the kinds of capabilities he’s throwing out in any significant fashion. 

He is going over the edge.

“Trump says US has reached an agreement to take permanent control of Greenland’s security…”

That’s the headline of a report from The Independent dated 19 September 2026 (Trump says US has reached an agreement to take permanent control of Greenland’s security).

I wrote the following over a year ago:

There has been much speculation about what Trump might have to do to take control of Greenland. Blockades, buying it outright, getting permission from both Denmark AND Britain.

But the truth of the matter is much simpler.

All he needs to do is BEEF UP the American presence in Greenland, using much the same strategy Putin has used in Ukraine. Put not only American servicemen there, but their families as well. Establish research-related towns similar to Los Alamos. After all, Pituffin Space Base (formerly Thule AFB) naturally requires the presence of civilian personnel to carry out space-related research.

Greenland’s population is just shy of 57,000. It would take nothing for the military/space population to exceed the civilian population - assuming our presence there doesn’t already exceed that - and a 1950’s treaty allows the US to operate all across Greenland as long as there is a threat to the US. Since both Russia and China are working feverishly to establish their footholds in the Arctic and space for military purposes, there is an objective threat to the US.

Taking de facto control of Greenland would be easily accomplished - and I don’t put it past Trump to do it. He is a paranoid, malignant narcissist with antisocial tendencies and delusions of grandeur. A certifiable lunatic. And now he wants to build the Trumpian empire. He wants the history books, which HE will approve to be used in schools, to teach the children about our illustrious leader and the glorious empire he built single handedly.

People said I was crazy, that it would never happen, but with the creation of this agreement, Trump has just created the framework to make it happen. 

The “MAGA” Disconnect….

 It was NEVER about “make America great again”. 

“America” is code for Trump - especially his second term. 

I think even most of his followers don’t fully grasp that. It was ALWAYS about about glorifying Trump. That’s why we see him renaming everything he can to America; in his mind, Trump IS America.

The Other Side Of The Political Ad….

This should not be taken as supporting or opposing Mike Rogers.

Giffords PAC, the Bloomberg funded gun control organization founded by former senator Gabby Giffords that is pushing total elimination of firearms, is running an ad on TV accusing Rogers of taking money from Pro Second Amendment organizations to “weaken” gun control laws.  But here’s the thing they hope you won’t consider: the opening footage of the ad is taken from the mass shooting event a few years ago at MSU.

Why is this important?

While they accuse Rogers of “weakening” gun laws, they hope you won’t remember that the MSU campus attack was only possible because a democrat prosecutor gave the future shooter,  Anthony Dwayne McRae, a deal on a previous crime.  He had been arrested earlier for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit - a felony that would have put him in jail for years AND RENDERED HIM A PROHIBITED PERSON WITH REGARD TO PURCHASING FIREARMS.  Instead, the democrat former prosecutor from Lansing, Carol Siemon, offered him a plea deal that lowered it to a misdemeanor.  Once the terms of the deal had been fulfilled, McRae was free to buy firearms again.  There was no “weakening” of gun control laws, the laws that were in place would have prevented him from legally obtaining firearms.  No, the laws, for which democrats had been screaming for years, were brushed aside - allowing him to buy firearms again.

On top of that, MSU used to be open to lawful concealed carry - and there was never an issue.  Instead, MSU was changed to a so-called “gun free” zone - and McRae took advantage of it to launch his attack.

So who, then, was REALLY responsible for the MSU shooting that left three people dead and five people injured?

Prime Minister Carney: “America Is Changing….”

Prime Minister, you recently made the above statement, and I feel the need to respond on behalf of the millions of us who do not share the warped vision being acted upon in Washington, DC.

Prime Minister Carney: No, AMERICA isn’t changing.

Unfortunately, we have a small group of oligarchs, one in particular, at the top trying to impose their vision on us and destroying everything we have worked to achieve for over 200 years.

Now, I am in full agreement that there are many things that have needed to be changed in our country for a very long time, and yes, our trade relationships are among them.  It is true that for too long our trade relationships have heavily favored our trading partners and we as a country have absorbed more than was equitable under the assumption that we were so affluent that we could afford it.  Maybe that was true at some point. Regardless you change these things carefully, after full consideration, to preserve the relationships wherever and whenever possible - you don’t take a literal wrecking ball to them as this administration has so recklessly done  - and continues to do - over the last year and a half.

I hope above hope that the world will be able to distinguish between the American people and the lunatic fringe that currently represents their own interests above those of the country to the glory of one man.  We regrettably elected a person - I will not dignify him by calling him a Man or a leader - who is, I will continue to observe, a power hungry, paranoid, malignant narcissist with antisocial and megalomaniacal tendencies, delusions of grandeur, a hero complex, and possible bipolar disorder - all stemming from a massive inferiority complex - who, as time goes on, is less and less able to control those tendencies.  I hope the world can be persuaded that our core AMERICAN values continue to exist.  HOPEFULLY we will have the opportunity at some future time to once again manifest those values and reestablish the trust the world once placed in us.

Could Michigan Find Itself Represented By TWO Radical Muslims….?

Yahoo won’t permit me to post this in response to reports it posts, it immediately deletes them, so I post this here.

Michigan is potentially setting itself up for a nightmare scenario.

Let’s say Abdul el-Sayed wins the election for the open Senate seat in November 2026. With Michigan’s current political climate, Rashida Tlaib decides to run for senate against incumbent Elissa Slotkin when her current term ends in 2031, assuming Slotkin chooses to run again. There is a very real possibility that Michigan could be represented by two radical muslims in the foreseeable future.

Likely?  Perhaps not.

Possible?  Absolutely.

Michigan could become the first state in the country for which BOTH of its senators could be radical muslims.  As I said, a nightmare scenario.

Bernie Sanders: “MY PARTY….”

 

 

“If Mr. Carville doesn't want to be in my party, the party that I belong to, that Piker, that El-Sayed belongs to, he can start his own party,” Bernie Sanders.

“MY PARTY”? Sanders is an independent who happens to caucus with the democrats in his efforts to coopt the party. Sanders has no party.

Sanders is playing the long game. He figured out long ago that candidates who openly identify with openly socialist and communist parties rarely get elected. He is working to convert the democrat party to that political identity, gradually get voters on board with his political goals. It is a long, patient process. And he’s grooming/counting on AOC to take the party to that point after he is gone. He is more successful than many realize: AOC is actually polling as a serious contender for the dem nomination in the next presidential election.

If dem leadership let his “my party” remark go unchallenged, they are farther down that road than anyone would care to admit.  And if they are truly concerned about the direction this interloper is taking them, they had better begin housecleaning YESTERDAY.
