It’s An Insurgency - Treat It Like One….

I posted the following in response to a number of news reports appearing in Yahoo.  It quotes from those reports, yet my postings were rejected because the quotes I used to make a point, which were acceptable if used by “journalists,” were considered to be offensive and violations of community standards when ***I*** re-quoted them.

And Yahoo has the temerity to claim they don’t censor.

“Zionists don’t deserve to live.”  

“Be grateful that I’m not just going out and murdering Zionists.”  

“I don’t fight to injure or for there to be a winner or a loser, I fight to kill.”

If a person uttering these words had been considered a white supremacist, they would have already hauled him off in cuffs and charged him.  But since he is “just a protester” taking over a college campus and forcing many operations to cease, a pro forma apology and no hate crime prosecution is acceptable.  After all, he’s just exercising his free speech.  Move on, nothing to see here.  No, that isn’t a double standard you think you see.

And, oh yeah, shutting down university operations is the university’s fault, not the insurgents who chose to take over the campus.

Yes, this is an insurgency.  Treat it like one.

Twenty-five Years Ago Today….

 

25 years ago today.  Columbine High.

Numerous school shootings later, those who write the laws leaving our teachers and students defenseless still enjoy the armed security they deny our schools.

For over thirty years an experiment has been conducted on the American public, and that experiment involves testing the notion that criminals obey laws, that declaring a given area “gun free” somehow appeals to the “inherent goodness” that supposedly exists in all people.  After thirty years, the results speak for themselves: “gun free” zones, whether they be schools, malls, churches, hospitals, or federal buildings, have protected no one and prevented nothing, but they have proven to provide shooters with unlimited sources of defenseless victims.  “Gun free” zones have proven to all who have eyes to see that criminals do not obey laws or designations, that they will, in fact, use those very laws and designations to their advantage.

The experiment is an unqualified failure.  It’s time to end it.

I can’t believe God looks with any more favor on those who peddle His Word for political gain and profit.

Trump, The Trump Organization, CIC Ventures LLC or any of their respective principals or affiliates," your “name, likeness and image [are used - added] under paid license from CIC Ventures LLC” - which you own.  In other words, they are paying you a hefty licensing fee.  

You have turned God into a fundraising tool. 

Please repent.

An Open Message To ALL Michigan State Officials….

 

My son.  

Autism.  

He will be 26 this year and aged out of services. He is a victim of the de minimus standard, “graduated” from Grand Rapids Public Schools with a certificate of completion that no college or employer will recognize in place of a diploma.  He has been working on the GED for the last 5 years, passed his science module.  We have been fighting to get him social security benefits; he has been turned down every time.  We had to get him an attorney to represent him at an upcoming appeal hearing.  He works a part time job as a dishwasher and attends classes through KISD; this is his final year.

His needs - and those of thousands of other special needs adults - don’t end just because he turns 26.  

Every elected Michigan official needs to hear this message.  Links to find your state representatives and senators can be found in the right side of my postings.

Attacking Constitutional Rights In Michigan….

New “gun safety” laws go into effect in Michigan on 2/13/24, laws that have alreadybeen declared unConstitutional and which have ZERO CHANCE of preventing criminals from obtaining or using guns illegally.  Rep. Brabec said “the firearm safety caucus she leads has also discussed Michigan's ‘stand your ground’ law that allows the use of deadly force any place someone has the legal right to be without imposing any ‘duty to retreat’ so long as the person using such force is not committing a crime at the time and believes the use of force will prevent imminent death, bodily harm or sexual assault.”

“‘That we still have that on the books, is problematic,’ said Brabec.”

They want to do away with this law THIS YEAR that recognizes the we have a God given right to DEFEND OURSELVES.  They don’t believe we have that right.  THEY PLACE THE LIVES OF CRIMINALS ABOVE THE LIVES OF THE INNOCENT.
A man much smarter than they wrote the followingin 1764:

“A principal source of errors and injustice are false ideas of utility. For example: that legislator has false ideas of utility who had rather command the sentiments of mankind than excite them, and dares say to reason, `Be thou a slave'; who would sacrifice a thousand real advantages to the fear of an imaginary or trifling inconvenience; who would deprive men of the use of fire for fear of their being burnt, and of water for fear of their being drowned; and who knows of no means of preventing evil but by destroying it. The laws of this nature are those which forbid to wear arms, disarming those only who are not disposed to commit the crime which the laws mean to prevent. Can it be supposed, that those who have the courage to violate the most sacred laws of humanity, and the most important of the code, will respect the less considerable and arbitrary injunctions, the violation of which is so easy, and of so little comparative importance? Does not the execution of this law deprive the subject of that personal liberty, so dear to mankind and to the wise legislator? and does it not subject the innocent to all the disagreeable circumstances that should only fall on the guilty? He had this figured out in the 1700s.
