“Trump says US has reached an agreement to take permanent control of Greenland’s security…”

That’s the headline of a report from The Independent dated 19 September 2026 (Trump says US has reached an agreement to take permanent control of Greenland’s security).

I wrote the following over a year ago:

There has been much speculation about what Trump might have to do to take control of Greenland. Blockades, buying it outright, getting permission from both Denmark AND Britain.

But the truth of the matter is much simpler.

All he needs to do is BEEF UP the American presence in Greenland, using much the same strategy Putin has used in Ukraine. Put not only American servicemen there, but their families as well. Establish research-related towns similar to Los Alamos. After all, Pituffin Space Base (formerly Thule AFB) naturally requires the presence of civilian personnel to carry out space-related research.

Greenland’s population is just shy of 57,000. It would take nothing for the military/space population to exceed the civilian population - assuming our presence there doesn’t already exceed that - and a 1950’s treaty allows the US to operate all across Greenland as long as there is a threat to the US. Since both Russia and China are working feverishly to establish their footholds in the Arctic and space for military purposes, there is an objective threat to the US.

Taking de facto control of Greenland would be easily accomplished - and I don’t put it past Trump to do it. He is a paranoid, malignant narcissist with antisocial tendencies and delusions of grandeur. A certifiable lunatic. And now he wants to build the Trumpian empire. He wants the history books, which HE will approve to be used in schools, to teach the children about our illustrious leader and the glorious empire he built single handedly.

People said I was crazy, that it would never happen, but with the creation of this agreement, Trump has just created the framework to make it happen. 

The “MAGA” Disconnect….

 It was NEVER about “make America great again”. 

“America” is code for Trump - especially his second term. 

I think even most of his followers don’t fully grasp that. It was ALWAYS about about glorifying Trump. That’s why we see him renaming everything he can to America; in his mind, Trump IS America.

Prime Minister Carney: “America Is Changing….”

Prime Minister, you recently made the above statement, and I feel the need to respond on behalf of the millions of us who do not share the warped vision being acted upon in Washington, DC.

Prime Minister Carney: No, AMERICA isn’t changing.

Unfortunately, we have a small group of oligarchs, one in particular, at the top trying to impose their vision on us and destroying everything we have worked to achieve for over 200 years.

Now, I am in full agreement that there are many things that have needed to be changed in our country for a very long time, and yes, our trade relationships are among them.  It is true that for too long our trade relationships have heavily favored our trading partners and we as a country have absorbed more than was equitable under the assumption that we were so affluent that we could afford it.  Maybe that was true at some point. Regardless you change these things carefully, after full consideration, to preserve the relationships wherever and whenever possible - you don’t take a literal wrecking ball to them as this administration has so recklessly done  - and continues to do - over the last year and a half.

I hope above hope that the world will be able to distinguish between the American people and the lunatic fringe that currently represents their own interests above those of the country to the glory of one man.  We regrettably elected a person - I will not dignify him by calling him a Man or a leader - who is, I will continue to observe, a power hungry, paranoid, malignant narcissist with antisocial and megalomaniacal tendencies, delusions of grandeur, a hero complex, and possible bipolar disorder - all stemming from a massive inferiority complex - who, as time goes on, is less and less able to control those tendencies.  I hope the world can be persuaded that our core AMERICAN values continue to exist.  HOPEFULLY we will have the opportunity at some future time to once again manifest those values and reestablish the trust the world once placed in us.

Getting Fired Up: Objective Realities….

 Ok, I’m going to go there.  I didn’t enjoy the recent smoke out we had over the last few days any more than anyone else did, but some objective realities need to be recognized:

Canada population, 41.5 million; US Population: 348.7 million.

Canada total land mass: 3,511,023 square miles; US total land mass: 3,531,905 square miles.

Canada population density: 12.4/square mile; US population density: 93/sq mile.

Canada forested acreage: 1.3 BILLION acres; US forested acreage: 823 million acres.

Canada GDP: $2 trillion; US GDP: $38 trillion.

Does anyone else see the problem here?

Canada simply doesn’t have either the manpower or money to clear all the brush or control their wildfires, most of which are in remote areas where few people live and firefighter response is nearly impossible. And the complicating factor? Much of remote Canada, unlike the US, is covered in muskeg and peat bogs. Once fires get into those areas, they will continue to burn until they exhaust available fuel. During the winters, the fires go dormant; there is no VISIBLE flame, but the embers continue to smolder under the snowpack until conditions are favorable in the summer - and they reignite. These fires could be burning for the next DECADE or more - and there isn’t thing one the Canadians can do about it, any more than WE can do anything about the coal fire in Pennsylvania that has been burning since 1962.

And let’s not forget that the US currently has nearly 500 wildfires of its own burning right now; year to date we have had nearly EIGHTY ONE THOUSAND fires and burned nearly FOUR MILLION ACRES right here in the US (source: National Interagency Fire Center, a federal agency under the Bureau of Land Management). The smoke we experienced recently didn’t just come from Canada, part of it also came from uncontrolled wildfires in the Boundary Waters area of Minnesota, some of which, BTW, has crossed over into Canada. OK, so prevailing winds are supposed to change from northerly to west/southwest. What do you suppose THAT’S going to do? Uh huh, bring smoke from wildfires in those areas to us in the midwest/northeast; that was in the forecast today. 

Perhaps not as heavy, but affecting us nonetheless.

So let’s stop and think about what is actually happening here. I have actually spent time in some of these parts of Canada.  Most of them are nearly inaccessible. This isn’t incompetence or maliciousness on the part of Canada; at the end if the day, man is finding out just how little control he actually has over nature.

And frankly, I am tired of Trump peddling the notion that Canada, a country that has sent AND LOST people and equipment over the years assisting the US fighting wildfires, is somehow responsible for natural disasters and their effect on the US as a means of turning sentiment against Canada and building support for his notion that we should annex Canada.

Pres. Trump is sleepy and out for vengeance against anyone he perceives to have slighted or thwarted him in any way.  He is power hungry on a national AND global scale, paranoid, a malignant narcissist with antisocial and megalomaniacal tendencies, delusions of grandeur, and a hero complex - all stemming from a massive inferiority complex - to which I add possible bipolar disorder. After going after the pope, Pres. Trump posted this to his truth social account.  I’m not catholic, and I’m not a fan of the pope - any pope. But the image Trump posted of himself is beyond sacrilegious; it is downright blasphemous.

Why Greenland?

 This is the headline of an article appearing in the Daily Beast 20 January 2026:

The article went on to deal with Pres, Trump’s ongoing obsession with annexing Canada, also addressing his determination to annex Greenland.

But why Greenland?

Some people said I was “out there” when I made the following observation a few days ago; I repost it here.  With the backdrop of this article, perhaps I’m not as far out there as some would like to believe.

Trump is still serious about annexing Canada; there is no reason to believe otherwise.  Annexing Greenland would be a logical first step - and I’m sure the Canadian government has already considered that. Annexing Greenland would mean that the United States has achieved a practical encirclement of Canada; if Trump so desired, the US would be in a position to blockade the country until it surrenders to him. Yes, Canada has been working to revive the Port of Churchill on Hudson’s Bay in an effort to circumvent the US, but that is a minor consideration in the broader scheme of things, a logistical challenge to make it really work, and easily shut down.

Make no mistake, Trump intends to control the western hemisphere. Firming up control of North America gives him the psychological advantage he needs to implement his expressed plans to push south into Central/South America. It would also create a land mass large enough to rival Russia - and that consideration alone is all the justification Trump’s ego needs to make it a reality. He is out to build his own empire.

Time To Take To The Skies For Event Security….

First, the attempt on Trump from a rooftop.  Now the assassination of Charlie Kirk, also from a rooftop.  Event security can no longer be fixated on ground level threats.  In both of these instances, cellphone videos showed the attackers in rooftop positions before they attacked.  Both would likely have been discovered before they were able to do anything if inexpensive drone technology had been leveraged.  Ground level security is no longer sufficient at public events.  It’s time to take to the skies for event security.

Ten Years On, STILL WAITING…,

So we had yet another mass shooting on a military base, this one at Ft. Stewart.  It brings to mind once again the unfulfilled promise made by Donald Trump TEN YEARS AGO to do away with so-called “gun free” zones in the US, including military bases, on his FIRST DAY IN OFFICE:

“I will get rid of gun-free zones on schools, and — you have to — and on military bases.  My first day, it [the executive order - added] gets signed, okay? My first day. There's no more gun-free zones,” Jan. 8, 2016, at a rally in Burlington, Vt.

Consider his remarks to the NRA Leadership Forum in Louisville, KY on May 1 the same year:

Each of the injuries and deaths that have occurred during his terms in office could possibly been prevented - that blood is on his hands.

Mr. President, finish the job.  Fulfill your promise.  Write and sign the executive order doing away with so-called “gun free” zones.

Trump: “Iran was very nice…”

TRUMP EXPLICITLY STATES HE GAVE IRAN PERMISSION TO BOMB OUR BASE IN QATAR.  HE SAYS EVERYONE WAS EVACUATED FROM THE BASE “EXCEPT THE GUNNERS, THAT’S WHAT THEY CALL THEM, THE GUNNERS.”

HE LEFT PEOPLE ON A BASE THAT WAS ABOUT TO BE ATTACKED AND HE WAS GOOD WITH IT, GAVE THE ATTACKERS PERMISSION TO ATTACK!!!

The TRUTH Of The Matter….

Posting content like this will probably cost me at some point in the very near future.  I’m going to say it anyway since I have been warning people about Trump for the last ten years.  My opinions are already out in public.

Zelensky isn’t the reason for the rupture of relations, Trump and Vance are. Zelensky has nothing for which to apologize, and kowtowing to Trump will merely encourage him to continue his tyrannical ways.

Zelensky was brought all the way to the US under false pretenses for the express purpose of humiliating him and putting distance between the US and Ukraine. There was no shouting match, there was Trump and Vance double teaming Zelensky.  There was no other reason for Vance to be present as he was for a meeting of this nature; it was unprecedented for him to be so visibly present, let along take such an active role. Zelensky did an admirable job maintaining control in the face of a concerted attack.

Trump had no intention of signing any agreement with Zelensky; Putin had already promised access to the same raw materials originating from the areas of Ukraine he occupied during his war of aggression. Trump has thrown his support firmly behind Putin and is committing the US to ally with the new axis of evil: Russia, China, and N. Korea; he wants to be like the leaders of these countries. He is committed to annexing Canada, Greenland, Gaza, and the Panama Canal.  Our historic relationships with the Europeans are on the chopping block, as is our connection with NATO.

No, Zelensky needs to hold his line - and hopefully Europe will be able to take up the slack.

Walking Into An Ambush….

The ambush set by Pres. Trump and Vice Pres. Vance for Ukrainian Pres. Zelensky will undoubtedly go down in history are one of the lowest acts ever perpetrated by an American chief executive and his second in command.

Pres. Zelensky, on behalf of the American people who support Ukraine’s struggle, I apologize for the way you were treated by our elected officials.

Trump’s Supposed Mandate Is A Mirage…

As much as I despise Trump, I have to say the numbers don’t tell the whole story. 

Fact: he won the popular vote. 

Fact: he won the electoral college.

Fact: he took every swing state.

Fact: he made significant inroads into the black, latino, and muslim communities - communities that dems always took for granted.

Fact: he did it with the media complex throwing absolutely everything they had at him.

Fact: he did it with Hollywood unleashing hordes of celebrities against him.

Fact: he did it despite the Harris endorsements given by hundreds of former elected officials, military leaders, and presidents from both parties.

The fact that the margins weren’t quite as large as first appeared doesn’t tell the whole story. Winning in spite of everything that was brought against him does. Like it or not (and I don’t) he DOES have a mandate.

How The Media Put Trump Back In The White House….

 “A Democratic ticket that pulled off the biggest turnaround in approval ratings and the fastest consolidation around a new candidate in the history of modern presidential politics.”

That’s how one news outlet described the meteoric rise of Kamala Harris in the aftermath of the Trump victory.

The problem is, it was all media driven.

Harris has the distinction of being the first presidential candidate chosen and pushed on the country by the media complex. The media committed ALL of their resources to get her appointed in the first place and then to overwhelm all aspects of media with nonstop, pro-Harris content. 

And people pushed back. 

The all out media push backfired spectacularly, propelling the very man they were so anxious to keep out of the White House (and his backers) into it and flipping the Senate to boot.

This was as much a referendum on the MEDIA as it was political issues. The media need to step back and seriously reconsider the role they are SUPPOSED to play in politics.

Of course, they won’t do that. If anything, they will ramp up their efforts next time around.

Thoughts For Election Day, 2024….

A thought as we embark on election day.

“Every person is to be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same; for it is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a servant of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil. Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath, but also for the sake of conscience,” Romans 13:1-6.  

Paul wrote this as he was imprisoned and awaiting execution at the hands of the emperor Nero, one of the most vicious, wicked rulers to ever live.

Regardless of which candidate wins today, God isn’t taken by surprise.  To the contrary, they will win because God intends them to win to accomplish His will and plan; whether for a blessing or judgment on our nation, only time will tell.  “The lot is cast into the lap, But its every decision is from the LORD,” Proverbs 16:33.  “Daniel said, May the name of God be blessed forever and ever… It is He who changes the times and the periods; He removes kings and appoints kings,” Daniel 2:20-21.

So before you pull the trigger on, “so and so isn’t MY president” once the results of this election are announced, stop and think about what you are REALLY saying: God isn’t MY god.  “[T]here is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God…”

This isn’t a new problem.

“Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah; and they said to him, ‘Behold, you have grown old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now appoint us a king to judge us like all the nations.’  But the matter was displeasing in the sight of Samuel when they said, ‘Give us a king to judge us.’  And Samuel prayed to the LORD. And the LORD said to Samuel, ‘Listen to the voice of the people regarding all that they say to you, because they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being King over them. Like all the deeds which they have done since the day that I brought them up from Egypt even to this day—in that they have abandoned Me and served other gods—so they are doing to you as well. Now then, listen to their voice; however, you shall warn them strongly and tell them of the practice of the king who will reign over them’,” 1 Samuel 8:4-9.

In the end, God will give the people the leaders they desire in line with His will.  Over time I have voiced my strong concerns regarding BOTH candidates.  As I have already said, only time will tell whether today’s results are for our good or our judgement as a nation.

May God have mercy on us.

Open Mouth, Insert Foot, Chew Vigorously….

 

Trump has done it again:

“Miriam, I watched (Sheldon Adelson, her late husband) sitting so proud in the White House when we gave Miriam the Presidential Medal of Freedom. That’s the highest award you can get as a civilian, it’s the equivalent of the Congressional Medal of Honor, but civilian version. It’s actually much better, because everyone gets the Congressional Medal of Honor – that’s soldiers. They’re either in very bad shape because they’ve been hit so many times by bullets, or they’re dead.  She gets it and she’s a healthy, beautiful woman, and they’re rated equal.”

This man, both as president and former president, continually denigrates the service and sacrifice of our service members, both past and current.  

This latest remark should anger every person who ever wore the uniform of our country.  It should anger every mother, father, brother, sister, wife, husband, son or daughter, or any other family member who made that service possible.

It should anger every person in law enforcement, past or present, who ever wore the other uniforms of our country to see a current/former Commander in Chief denigrate the service and sacrifice of our brothers and sisters in military service.

While it is true that many deserving people have received the Presidential Medal of Freedom for significant contributions to our country, it is also true that many more of them received the medal in return for personal favors and contributions given to the president himself.  

The Medal of Honor recognizes those who gave, or were willing to give, what Pres. Abraham Lincoln characterized as “…the last full measure of devotion…”  It recognizes gallantry, valor, action, and blood shed above and beyond the call of duty.  It is an honor earned, not given.  For this reason, it will ALWAYS be superior to the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
