“Trans High School Runner Becomes State Champion, Faces Boos from the Crowd”

That’s the headline of an article appearing on Yahoo News today.  A “trans” (biological male) runner in Oregon won a race, became the high school “female” state champion, and was booed for doing so.

I posted the following on yahoo news in response to the article three times - and it was summarily deleted all three times for violating community guidelines even though I used no derogatory language or employed no personal attacks - unlike many of the other postings that were allowed to remain.  As I observed in my appeal, I guess they are threatened by objective reasoning:

It’s the science, remember? That’s the answer that trumps all others - until it gets in the way of the agenda.

The science says that “trans” runner’s chromosomes make him male. That’s the science. 

He can take all the estrogen and testosterone blockers he wants; it doesn’t change what he is at the genetic level. 

He can mutilate his body to make him appear female; it doesn’t change what he is at the genetic level.

He can believe all day long that he is really a female; it doesn’t change what he is at the genetic level.

A psychiatrist can “affirm “ his feelings all day long; it doesn’t change what he is at the genetic level.

At the end of the day, that science doesn’t change and it doesn’t care about political agendas. His chromosomes make him a male, and that’s the end of it.

Disenfranchised Voters....

 Many voters deal with disenfranchisement.  It appears in many different forms.

One such form is the disenfranchisement experienced by conservatives.

Yes, conservatives. 

It’s the problem many states have: the rural areas of the states tend to be very conservative, but the big cities consistently override them, enacting laws or forcing them to support programs with their tax dollars with which they strongly disagree.  

There is a move in California to allow several counties to secede and form a new, conservative state, several eastern counties in Oregon have voted to join Idaho, and of course many in Texas want to secede from the US entirely to form their own country.  

I hope they can somehow get it done, but I’m not holding my breath.  The ramifications for those states as they currently exist are far reaching; people like Pelosi, Feinstein, and others would lose a tremendous amount of power, and the affected states would lose seats in congress.  The chances that congress would approve such moves - or that the president wouldn’t veto them - are slim at best.

One can always hope.
