Administration Suing Wisconsin Company For Requiring Employees To Be Able To Speak English….
"… the Civil Rights Act protects employees from discrimination based on national origin, which includes the linguistic characteristics of a national origin group," Administration sues Wisconsin company.
No one is denying an individual the right to speak their own language while at work, but the ability to speak english is essential in most companies in order to facilitate communication between the employee and the employer.
This action, however, appears to be part of the administration's "job creation" package. Every company employing non-english speakers will have no choice but to employ interpreters for every language spoken by their employees, as well as print multi-language copies of all employment documents (applications, employee handbooks, etc.), in order to preserve their "civil rights.

"...But we are equally opposed to any discrimination against or for a man because of his creed. We demand that all CITIZENS, Protestant and Catholic, Jew and Gentile, shall have fair treatment in every way; that all alike shall have their rights guaranteed them.
The mighty tide of immigration to our shores has brought in its train much of good and much of evil; and whether the good or the evil shall predominate depends mainly on whether these newcomers do or do not throw themselves heartily into our national life, cease to be Europeans, and become Americans like the rest of us. More than a third of the people of the Northern States are of foreign birth or parentage. An immense number of them have become completely Americanized, and these stand on exactly the same plane as the descendants of any Puritan, Cavalier, or Knickerbocker among us, and do their full and honorable share of the nation’s work. But where immigrants, or the sons of immigrants, do not heartily and in good faith throw in their lot with us, but cling to the speech, the customs, the ways of life, and the habits of thought of the Old World which they have left, they thereby harm both themselves and us. If they remain alien elements, unassimilated, and with interests separate from ours, they are mere obstructions to the current of our national life, and, moreover, can get no good from it themselves. In fact, though we ourselves also suffer from their perversity, it is they who really suffer most. It is an immense benefit to the European immigrant to change him into an American citizen. To bear the name of American is to bear the most honorable titles; and whoever does not so believe has no business to bear the name at all, and, if he comes from europe, the sooner he goes back there the better… From his own standpoint, it is beyond all question the wise thing for the immigrant to become thoroughly Americanized. Moreover, from our standpoint, we have a right to demand it. We freely extend the hand of welcome and of good-fellowship to every man, no matter what his creed or birthplace, who comes here honestly intent on becoming a good United States citizen like the rest of us; but we have a right, and it is our duty, to demand that he shall indeed become so…," Pres. Theodore Roosevelt, True Americanism (emphasis added).

An Open Letter To Michigan State Legislators: No To Illegal Children...
An open letter to Michigan State Legislators regarding the relocation of illegal alien children to Michigan locations:
Ladies and Gentlemen,
While Gov. Snyder may be encouraging the federal government to send more illegal children here to Michigan (http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20140704/POLITICS02/307040033), specifically to the Bethany Services unaccompanied alien children facility location on 36th St in Kentwood (http://michiganradio.org/post/some-children-fleeing-central-american-violence-may-be-headed-michigan, http://www.alipac.us/f12/...west-michigan-program-shelters-illegal-alien-kids-287065/), I remain VEHEMENTLY opposed.
I am in favor of rendering assistance to those who truly need it, but this entire situation is the direct result of Pres. Obama's unilateral decision to countermand existing US immigration law with his executive order relating to so-called "dreamers." It was HIS decision that opened the flood gates of unaccompanied children to this country; this "humanitarian crisis" on our border rests entirely on his shoulders, yet he now expects the US taxpayer to come up with billions of dollars that we can't afford and don't have to absorb even more children who will be wholly dependent on the US taxpayer for much of their lives.
This must be stopped, and the Michigan legislature needs to take immediate action to insure that we do not become yet another sanctuary for thousands more illegals who will be dependent on Michigan taxpayers. We can't even afford to take care of our roads, yet we are magically expected to come up with billions of dollars to support even more illegals? This may begin as a federally funded program (but remember - those "federal funds" come from hard working MICHIGAN TAXPAYERS), but in the long term, it is the Michigan taxpayer who will be expected to pay even more taxes to support the increased burden on our social, education, and medical services.
Enough is too much.

VP Biden: "Undocumented aliens are already Americans"
March 28, 2014
Vice President Joe BidenThe White House
Washington, DC
Pres. Roosevelt would NOT have agreed with your stance, or that of the administration. In point of fact, his essay is a repudiation of this administration’s immigration policy. His essay is based on 1) the premise that such individuals come to our country in accordance with our laws, and 2) that they fully integrate themselves into American society. What you offer is a caricature of True Americanism.
Sincerely,

Open Letter To Senators Levin, Stabenow, re: S.744 Vote...
June 27, 2013
Senator Carl LevinSenator Debbie Stabenow
"...nothing in this subsection shall require the secretary to install fencing, or infrastructure that directly results from the installation of such fencing, in a particular location along the southern border, if the secretary determines that the use of placement of such resources is not the most appropriate means to achieve and maintain effective control over the southern border at such location."
In addition, S.744 guarantees that illegal immigrants who are amnestied will be eligible to work, but will not be eligible for ObamaCare. Employers who would be required to pay as much as a $3,000 penalty for most employees who receive an ObamaCare healthcare “exchange” subsidy, WOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY THE PENALTY IF THEY HIRE AMNESTIED IMMIGRANTS.

Senator McCain - Enforce Our Immigration Laws...
June 24, 2013
Sen. John McCain
Senator,
There was a time when I supported you. I was one of those who voted for you when you ran for the office of President. But upon seeing what you have come to espouse in the years that have passed since then, you have lost my support. You have defended the actions of a president and his administration that are, by all objective, CONSTITUTIONAL standards, indefensible.
And now you have joined the open borders crowd in complete disregard for your own Arizona constituents, and for the rest of us as well. To make matters worse, you have evidently instructed your staff to ignore all incoming phone calls from constituents who have the temerity to question you and the rest of the so-called “Gang of Eight” oligarchs who have decided that you alone know what is best for this country with regard to enforcing our immigration laws and strengthening our borders.
We believe in enforcing our laws. We have seen from previous amnesties what transpires. We have over 20 MILLION CITIZENS who have been been pushed out of the workforce in favor of illegals who will work for illegal wages with no benefits; your first responsibility is to THOSE CITIZENS, not the 12 million plus illegals who CHOSE to live in the shadows. You have no obligation to bring them out of the shadows - unless it is for the purpose of enforcing our immigration laws. Your proposed “immigration reform” is a slap in the faces of the 4 million immigrants who are patiently complying with our immigration laws to become productive CITIZENS of this nation, and placing all power to strengthen our borders solely into the hands of Sec. Napolitano, who has already declared that our borders are sufficiently strong for the purposes of the administration, does nothing to strengthen the language of your proposed legislation.
Enough is enough.
Enforce our laws as your oath of office requires you to do - or step down to make room for someone who will.
A Constitutional Constructionist for National Sovereignty.

Amnesty Rebuttal...

Posse Comitatus and Border Security...
"It is time to rescind the existing Posse Comitatus Act and replace it with a new law. The old law is widely misunderstood and unclear. It leaves plenty of room for people to do unwise and perhaps unlawful things while trying to comply with their particular version. It certainly does not provide a basis for defining a useful relationship of military forces and civil authority in a global war with terrorism. The Posse Comitatus Act is an artifact of a different conflict-between freedom and slavery or between North and South, if you prefer. Today's conflict is also in a sense between freedom and slavery, but this time it is between civilization and terrorism. New problems often need new solutions, and a new set of rules is needed for this issue.
President ... and Congress should initiate action to enact a new law that would set forth in clear terms a statement of the rules for using military forces for homeland security and for enforcing the laws of the United States. Things have changed a lot since 1878, and the Posse Comitatus Act is not only irrelevant but also downright dangerous to the proper and effective use of military forces for domestic duties." Col. John R. Brinkerhoff, US Army (Retired)
Regardless of your position on illegals, it cannot be denied that the situation on our border with Mexico has gotten seriously out of hand. The violence has escalated to unprecedented levels, and is making further inroads into our nation. Incursions like those initiated recently by Mexican soldiers, who ventured onto US soil for the purpose of removing evidence from a crime scene implicating one of their citizens, driving off FBI agents who were investigating that scene in the process, cannot be tolerated. The video from that day clearly showed that it was OUR territorial integrity that was violated, not the other way around.
It is said that fences make good neighbors. Whether physical or abstract, clearly defined and defended borders have the same effect.
Until Posse Comitatus is replaced by another guideline that makes more sense in this day and age, the Army and Air Force will continue to be governed by it unless waived by the President. However, according to Col. Brinkerhoff, the Marine Corps and National Guard are NOT limited by Posse Comitatus ("Does not apply to the Navy and Marine Corps. However, the Department of Defense has consistently held that the Navy and Marine Corps should behave as if the act applied to them. Does not apply to the National Guard in its role as state troops on state active duty under the command of the respective governors. May not apply to the National Guard (qua militia) even when it is called to federal active duty. The Posse Comitatus Act contains no restrictions on the use of the federalized militia as it did on the regular Army."). According to Major Craig T. Trebilcock, Judge Advocate General Corps, U.S. Army Reserves, "...one of the express missions of the Guard is to preserve the laws of the state during times of emergency when regular law enforcement assets prove inadequate." If we are unable, or lack the political will, to defend our own borders and territorial integrity, then we have no business sending our troops around the world to die for the integrity of the borders of another country. It is time to release the Guards to, at the very least, perform the duties for which they were expressly created.
Like charity, defense begins at home.
