How The Media Put Trump Back In The White House….

 “A Democratic ticket that pulled off the biggest turnaround in approval ratings and the fastest consolidation around a new candidate in the history of modern presidential politics.”

That’s how one news outlet described the meteoric rise of Kamala Harris in the aftermath of the Trump victory.

The problem is, it was all media driven.

Harris has the distinction of being the first presidential candidate chosen and pushed on the country by the media complex. The media committed ALL of their resources to get her appointed in the first place and then to overwhelm all aspects of media with nonstop, pro-Harris content. 

And people pushed back. 

The all out media push backfired spectacularly, propelling the very man they were so anxious to keep out of the White House (and his backers) into it and flipping the Senate to boot.

This was as much a referendum on the MEDIA as it was political issues. The media need to step back and seriously reconsider the role they are SUPPOSED to play in politics.

Of course, they won’t do that. If anything, they will ramp up their efforts next time around.

Thoughts For Election Day, 2024….

A thought as we embark on election day.

“Every person is to be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same; for it is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a servant of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil. Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath, but also for the sake of conscience,” Romans 13:1-6.  

Paul wrote this as he was imprisoned and awaiting execution at the hands of the emperor Nero, one of the most vicious, wicked rulers to ever live.

Regardless of which candidate wins today, God isn’t taken by surprise.  To the contrary, they will win because God intends them to win to accomplish His will and plan; whether for a blessing or judgment on our nation, only time will tell.  “The lot is cast into the lap, But its every decision is from the LORD,” Proverbs 16:33.  “Daniel said, May the name of God be blessed forever and ever… It is He who changes the times and the periods; He removes kings and appoints kings,” Daniel 2:20-21.

So before you pull the trigger on, “so and so isn’t MY president” once the results of this election are announced, stop and think about what you are REALLY saying: God isn’t MY god.  “[T]here is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God…”

This isn’t a new problem.

“Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah; and they said to him, ‘Behold, you have grown old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now appoint us a king to judge us like all the nations.’  But the matter was displeasing in the sight of Samuel when they said, ‘Give us a king to judge us.’  And Samuel prayed to the LORD. And the LORD said to Samuel, ‘Listen to the voice of the people regarding all that they say to you, because they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being King over them. Like all the deeds which they have done since the day that I brought them up from Egypt even to this day—in that they have abandoned Me and served other gods—so they are doing to you as well. Now then, listen to their voice; however, you shall warn them strongly and tell them of the practice of the king who will reign over them’,” 1 Samuel 8:4-9.

In the end, God will give the people the leaders they desire in line with His will.  Over time I have voiced my strong concerns regarding BOTH candidates.  As I have already said, only time will tell whether today’s results are for our good or our judgement as a nation.

May God have mercy on us.

“I Own A Gun….”

And the Harris spin machine churns on.

She owns a gun.  OBVIOUSLY that makes her pro-Second Amendment, right?

And if someone breaks into her house, they’re going to get shot. That’s what she told Oprah.  But you can bet SHE won’t be the one doing the shooting; her Secret Service detail will take care of that for her.

And assertions that she will fight to confiscate firearms are a lie - her words.

Hmm….

Open Mouth, Insert Foot, Chew Vigorously….

 

Trump has done it again:

“Miriam, I watched (Sheldon Adelson, her late husband) sitting so proud in the White House when we gave Miriam the Presidential Medal of Freedom. That’s the highest award you can get as a civilian, it’s the equivalent of the Congressional Medal of Honor, but civilian version. It’s actually much better, because everyone gets the Congressional Medal of Honor – that’s soldiers. They’re either in very bad shape because they’ve been hit so many times by bullets, or they’re dead.  She gets it and she’s a healthy, beautiful woman, and they’re rated equal.”

This man, both as president and former president, continually denigrates the service and sacrifice of our service members, both past and current.  

This latest remark should anger every person who ever wore the uniform of our country.  It should anger every mother, father, brother, sister, wife, husband, son or daughter, or any other family member who made that service possible.

It should anger every person in law enforcement, past or present, who ever wore the other uniforms of our country to see a current/former Commander in Chief denigrate the service and sacrifice of our brothers and sisters in military service.

While it is true that many deserving people have received the Presidential Medal of Freedom for significant contributions to our country, it is also true that many more of them received the medal in return for personal favors and contributions given to the president himself.  

The Medal of Honor recognizes those who gave, or were willing to give, what Pres. Abraham Lincoln characterized as “…the last full measure of devotion…”  It recognizes gallantry, valor, action, and blood shed above and beyond the call of duty.  It is an honor earned, not given.  For this reason, it will ALWAYS be superior to the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Madness Posing As Political Dogma….

This is nuts.  Beyond nuts.  It is sheer madness.  I read some news reports about this, and I checked for myself.  This is the screenshot I took of the job application on the campaign’s website.  This whole idea that gender is a mental/psychological construct that is completely separate from one’s objective biological sex/genetic makeup, that there are unlimited “genders”, is beyond absurd.  I stand on the historic Biblical Truth (capital T truth): 

Gen 1:27: “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”

Gen 5:1-2: “On the day when God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female, and He blessed them and named them “mankind” on the day when they were created.”

God Himself created humans in His image.  He identifies Himself as Father(masculine); He defines mother (feminine) as the complimentary opposite of that.  He created male; He created female as the opposite and complimentary sex/gender.

God further applied this distinction to the animal world:

Gen 6:19: “And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every kind into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female.”

Gen 7:2-3: “You shall take with you seven pairs of every clean animal, a male and his female; and two of the animals that are not clean, a male and his female; also of the birds of the sky, seven pairs, male and female, to keep their offspring alive on the face of all the earth.”

Gender isn’t some fluid mental/psychological construct that can change with our every whim, it is hardwired, encoded in our dna as it was created to be.

For those who don’t recognize the Biblical narrative as authoritative, I will put it a little differently, using a phrase that’s all the rage these days: it’s the science.  Your gender is encoded in your dna - it doesn’t change.  If you are XX (female), you will always be XX.  If you are XY (male), you will always be XY.  That’s the science.  It doesn’t change because you disagree with it.  Surgeries and hormones do nothing to change this basic scientific fact.

Theology and science are on the same page with this; they agree.  Gender and biological sex are the same identity.

Congress, Impeach Judge Aileen Cannon….

 Enough is enough.

It has become glaringly obvious that Judge Cannon defends, not the Constitution, but the man who appointed her, Donald Trump.  She has done everything possible to derail the prosecution of the former president.  The examples of judicial misconduct have been excoriated by judicial experts across the nation.

Judge Cannon has already accomplished her evident goal: assuring that Donald Trump cannot be prosecuted on federal charges before running for president again.  If any respect for the judiciary is to be retained, she must be impeached, disbarred, and prosecuted.  She is a disgrace to her robes.

It’s Always About The Science - Until It Isn’t….

 A war has been raging for years in our society regarding homosexuality in all of its forms.  We are assured by apologists that it is normal, that people are born that way.

Let’s assume for the sake of argument that this is so.  People are born homosexual.  Consider, in terms of evolutionary biology, what this means.

The basic tenet of evolutionary biology is natural selection, the so-called survival of the fittest.  The only genetic mutations that are supposed to survive are those that contribute to the propagation and survival of the human species.  Homosexuality in all of its forms does neither.  The lack of desire for the opposite sex goes directly against both the propagation and survival of the human species.  Without some form of outside intervention, homosexuals cannot reproduce on their own; it is a physical impossibility.

No, if it’s about the science, natural selection and survival of the fittest, then only one conclusion is possible: nature has selected the genetic lines of homosexuals to be culled from the human herd, for elimination from the gene pool.

So if your argument is that homosexuality in all its forms is scientifically based, you might want to rethink that argument.

Words Aged To Perfection….

"Folks, folks, folks, she shouldn't be allowed to run.  If she were to win this election, it would create an unprecedented constitutional crisis. In that situation, we could very well have a sitting president under felony indictment and, ultimately, a criminal trial. It would grind government to a halt.  Her current scandals and controversies will continue throughout her presidency and will make it virtually impossible for her to govern and lead our country,” Donald Trump, 2016 Reno Rally, referring to Hillary Clinton.

While I still believe she should have been prosecuted for mishandling classified documents, the FBI disagreed.

Nevertheless, Trump has now been indicted on THIRTY FIVE felony charges.  According to HIS OWN WORDS, he should drop his candidacy immediately to avoid a potential Constitutional crisis.

So House Dems Want Gov. Hochul To Pardon Trump….

So here’s the problem with that: Trump wins either way. 

If he remains unpardoned, he is a martyr to the maga cause. 

If he is pardoned, it will appear he forced NY to overturn the conviction that, according to him, should never have happened in the first place and (because this is why democrats now want him pardoned) legitimizes the threat of violence as a political tool in the US.

Not only must this conviction be allowed to stand, Trump must also be brought to account for such threats, and any violence arising as a result of his threats must be dealt with decisively.  This passive aggressive behavior must be ended.

“Trans High School Runner Becomes State Champion, Faces Boos from the Crowd”

That’s the headline of an article appearing on Yahoo News today.  A “trans” (biological male) runner in Oregon won a race, became the high school “female” state champion, and was booed for doing so.

I posted the following on yahoo news in response to the article three times - and it was summarily deleted all three times for violating community guidelines even though I used no derogatory language or employed no personal attacks - unlike many of the other postings that were allowed to remain.  As I observed in my appeal, I guess they are threatened by objective reasoning:

It’s the science, remember? That’s the answer that trumps all others - until it gets in the way of the agenda.

The science says that “trans” runner’s chromosomes make him male. That’s the science. 

He can take all the estrogen and testosterone blockers he wants; it doesn’t change what he is at the genetic level. 

He can mutilate his body to make him appear female; it doesn’t change what he is at the genetic level.

He can believe all day long that he is really a female; it doesn’t change what he is at the genetic level.

A psychiatrist can “affirm “ his feelings all day long; it doesn’t change what he is at the genetic level.

At the end of the day, that science doesn’t change and it doesn’t care about political agendas. His chromosomes make him a male, and that’s the end of it.

Gentex: Spanish-Speaking Only Production Lines….

 In 2021, Gentex, “a technology company and long-time supplier of electro-optical products for the global automotive, aerospace and fire protection industries,” implemented exclusive Spanish language only production lines “to provide expanded employment opportunities for West Michigan’s growing Hispanic community… over 230 Spanish-speaking employees work on various production lines throughout the company.”

Regardless of the nobility of the intent, this constitutes blatant discrimination in hiring and promotion in violation of existing Equal Employment Opportunity laws.  Exclusive Spanish language only lines means speakers of other languages, regardless of how well qualified they might be, are excluded from employment opportunities that have, by definition, been reserved exclusively for Spanish speakers.

They say wrong is wrong, regardless of intent.

This is wrong.  And likely illegal.

It’s An Insurgency - Treat It Like One….

I posted the following in response to a number of news reports appearing in Yahoo.  It quotes from those reports, yet my postings were rejected because the quotes I used to make a point, which were acceptable if used by “journalists,” were considered to be offensive and violations of community standards when ***I*** re-quoted them.

And Yahoo has the temerity to claim they don’t censor.

“Zionists don’t deserve to live.”  

“Be grateful that I’m not just going out and murdering Zionists.”  

“I don’t fight to injure or for there to be a winner or a loser, I fight to kill.”

If a person uttering these words had been considered a white supremacist, they would have already hauled him off in cuffs and charged him.  But since he is “just a protester” taking over a college campus and forcing many operations to cease, a pro forma apology and no hate crime prosecution is acceptable.  After all, he’s just exercising his free speech.  Move on, nothing to see here.  No, that isn’t a double standard you think you see.

And, oh yeah, shutting down university operations is the university’s fault, not the insurgents who chose to take over the campus.

Yes, this is an insurgency.  Treat it like one.

Twenty-five Years Ago Today….

 

25 years ago today.  Columbine High.

Numerous school shootings later, those who write the laws leaving our teachers and students defenseless still enjoy the armed security they deny our schools.

For over thirty years an experiment has been conducted on the American public, and that experiment involves testing the notion that criminals obey laws, that declaring a given area “gun free” somehow appeals to the “inherent goodness” that supposedly exists in all people.  After thirty years, the results speak for themselves: “gun free” zones, whether they be schools, malls, churches, hospitals, or federal buildings, have protected no one and prevented nothing, but they have proven to provide shooters with unlimited sources of defenseless victims.  “Gun free” zones have proven to all who have eyes to see that criminals do not obey laws or designations, that they will, in fact, use those very laws and designations to their advantage.

The experiment is an unqualified failure.  It’s time to end it.

I can’t believe God looks with any more favor on those who peddle His Word for political gain and profit.

An Open Message To ALL Michigan State Officials….

 

My son.  

Autism.  

He will be 26 this year and aged out of services. He is a victim of the de minimus standard, “graduated” from Grand Rapids Public Schools with a certificate of completion that no college or employer will recognize in place of a diploma.  He has been working on the GED for the last 5 years, passed his science module.  We have been fighting to get him social security benefits; he has been turned down every time.  We had to get him an attorney to represent him at an upcoming appeal hearing.  He works a part time job as a dishwasher and attends classes through KISD; this is his final year.

His needs - and those of thousands of other special needs adults - don’t end just because he turns 26.  

Every elected Michigan official needs to hear this message.  Links to find your state representatives and senators can be found in the right side of my postings.

Attacking Constitutional Rights In Michigan….

New “gun safety” laws go into effect in Michigan on 2/13/24, laws that have alreadybeen declared unConstitutional and which have ZERO CHANCE of preventing criminals from obtaining or using guns illegally.  Rep. Brabec said “the firearm safety caucus she leads has also discussed Michigan's ‘stand your ground’ law that allows the use of deadly force any place someone has the legal right to be without imposing any ‘duty to retreat’ so long as the person using such force is not committing a crime at the time and believes the use of force will prevent imminent death, bodily harm or sexual assault.”

“‘That we still have that on the books, is problematic,’ said Brabec.”

They want to do away with this law THIS YEAR that recognizes the we have a God given right to DEFEND OURSELVES.  They don’t believe we have that right.  THEY PLACE THE LIVES OF CRIMINALS ABOVE THE LIVES OF THE INNOCENT.
A man much smarter than they wrote the followingin 1764:
